John Clarke's collection, After the Storm was published in 2002. Since then Currock Press has published work by Pete Lancaster, Jane Steel, Jimmy Andrex and Ian Whiteley. In addition, pamphlets containing the work of the Black Horse Poets and Mocca Moocho Poets have also been published.
Currock Press was the driving force behind the twinning with the Italian website Margutte and the visit from Silvia Pio and Attilio Ianniello with plans for further exchanges during autumn 2016 and summer 2017. Recently, a pamphlet honouring the Lofthouse Colliery disaster of 1983 and Metro Heartbeat, a collection of short stories by the Agbrigg Writers have also been published.
As the financial body behind the popular Red Shed Readings in Wakefield's Labour Club, Currock Press administers the national Red Shed Poetry competition. The competition funds the Readings and has also proved to be a valuable source of talented poets for Red Shed events. Each year at the presentation event successful poets, the winners, runners up, highly commended and Wakefield postcode prizewinners are honoured in the pamphlet published for free distribution at the event.
Although not seeking any submissions for publication at the moment, the site does look to promote poetry on its gallery pages and disseminates information about the Red Shed Readings.
